Peanut Butter Blossoms

One of my earliest memories of this Peanut Butter Blossom cookie was at my cousins birthday party and my aunt made these cookies. Oh my! I was about 8 years old and I remember taking a few and few more and a few more! Omgosh! I loved them. I never asked her for the recipe, I mean come on! I was 8.

Over the years I tried several recipes for the Hershey Kiss Blossom cookie but none measured up and then I worked up a recipe for peanut butter cookies and the little mouse started running really fast and I had and Aha! moment. This little Peanut Butter Blossom cookie was the spoils of my efforts. It tasted like my aunts. I was vindicated!

This recipe is super easy and doesn’t make so many cookies that you can’t eat them all, well I could but I have no self control. That’s another story all together.

But I promise you will love the peanutty taste that marries so well with the melting chocolate of the Hershey Kiss. Its a symphony for the taste buds. I love them straight from the oven, when they are still warm with the chocolate kiss melting and maybe, dripping a little on your chin, I said maybe. I can neither deny nor confirm that this has ever happened but if it did, I enjoyed ever scrumptious crumb and drip!!

Grab a cold one, a cold tall glass of creamy whole milk that is, and enjoy the soft, creamy, peanut buttery, chocolaty goodness that is heaven on earth! And for a change up maybe try using cookie butter for a new take on this extraordinary treat that brings me back to my childhood with all the amazing memories I have of good food and amazing family!
